Common printing problem solving

(1) Pull the paper wool. The main reason is that the ink is too sticky or the paper strength is poor. The elimination method is to add an appropriate amount of ink detacking agent to reduce the viscosity of the ink, and use a paper with high surface strength to reduce the speed of the printing machine.

(2) The printed product becomes lighter in color. The main reason is that the thixotropy of the ink is too large and the viscosity is too small. The elimination method is to add a new fluid with a large fluidity or to add a resin varnish with a higher viscosity.

(3) The ink is powdered and faded. The main reason is that the binder in the ink is insufficient, the viscosity is too small, the drying is too slow, and the water resistance is too poor. The ink absorption of the paper is too strong, and the acidity of the fountain solution or paper is too large. The elimination method is to speed up the drying speed of the ink, and add a red dry oil to the ink in an appropriate amount to reduce the acidity of the dampening solution and reduce the amount of water supplied.

(4) Adhesion. The main reason is that the amount of powder is too small, the pile is too high, and the ink cures too slowly. The elimination method is to increase the amount of powder sprayed, reduce the thickness of the finished product, choose the fast solid oil amount, or supplement the ink with polyethylene wax.

(5) Drying is too slow. The main reason is that the desiccant in the ink is insufficient, and the paper or dampening solution is too acidic. The method of elimination is to add an appropriate amount of desiccant to the ink to adjust the pH of the dampening solution.

(6) Flying ink. The main reason is that the ink layer is too thick, the viscosity is too small, or the ink roller is not properly installed. The elimination method is to use a better thick ink, reduce the amount of ink used, check whether the installation of the ink roller is reasonable to exclude static electricity, and improve the indoor temperature.

(7) Paste plate. The main reason is that the ink has a large specific gravity, the powder content is too high, the particles are coarse, the viscosity is too small, the water resistance is poor, the ink roller and the printing plate ink layer are too thick, and the paper is powdered. The solution is to increase the viscosity of the ink or add new thick ink to adjust or replace the paper.

(8) Stacking rubber. The main reason is that the ink is too poor in water resistance, less viscous, insufficient binder, poor transfer, or powder off the paper. The exclusion method is to adjust the specific gravity of the ink to add an ink having a higher tinting strength, to improve the water resistance of the ink or to replace a better paper.

(9) Stacking roller. The main reason is that the water resistance of the ink is not good, the viscosity is too large, and the water supply amount of the fountain solution is too large. The elimination method is to add new ink, reduce the water supply of the dampening solution or add isopropanol to the dampening solution to improve the wettability and increase the volatility.

(10) The oil is dirty. The main reason is that the ink has poor water resistance, insufficient viscosity, and too strong oiliness. The method of elimination is to increase the viscosity of the ink, add a small amount of external oil, use a quick-drying bright ink, add a small amount of light magnesium carbonate to the ink to reduce oiliness, or try not to use a pigmented pigment ink.

(11) Dirty version. The main reason is that the ink is too soft, the viscosity is small, the water resistance is too poor, the acid and gum arabic in the dampening solution are insufficient, and the water gel is not clean. The method of elimination is to replace the ink with better elasticity, add an appropriate amount of arabic resin glue to the dampening solution, increase the acidity of the dampening solution, and add an appropriate amount of isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the wet plate roll.
